Each year, Blacktop Service crews complete miles of crack filling for counties and cities. Crack filling is a preservation procedure that seals existing cracks in pavements with rubber to prevent moisture from penetrating.
Our crews utilize routers to expose and clean the roadway cracks and then use a hot-pour rubber to fill the crevice. Once the crack is filled, the rubber hardens and seals out moisture. Crack filling is a minimally disruptive and cost effective way to extend the life of the road by mitigating the effects of moisture.
